Four beautiful puppies!! ...and all Black and Tan! (this is a first for us)

We are pleased to announce that on April 3, 2013, Nutmeg gave birth to:

"Leo", a little black boy, was born at 12:57 PM, weighing 9.6 oz.

"Perseus" (Percy), a little black boy, was born at 1:13 PM, weighing 8.9 oz.

"Aquila" (Quila), a little black girl, was born 1:23 PM, weighing 8.0 oz.

"Cassiopeia" (Cassie), a little black girl, was born at 1:54 PM, weighing 8.4 oz.

The Puppies' Pedigree

Our Nutmeg (the Mom) is beautiful, good-natured, athletic Shiba with the potential to excel in any discipline. She is OFA Good and CERF Clear with normal patellas (CHIC). She has not competed much, but is pointed towards her AKC Championship and has done a little bit of agility and rally-o training. The Daddy is our James, who is a remarkably talented and accomplished boy! James has earned High in Trial awards in Agility, Rally-O, and Obedience, has earned trophies at the 2010 CPE Agility Nationals and at the 2008 TDAA Agility Nationals, and was an all-breed "Top Ten" ranked Agility dog in CPE Agility in 2009. In addition to his Agility and Obedience accomplishments, James has earned his "CGC", is a certified Therapy Dog (registered with TDI), has shown great potential as a tracking dog, is pointed towards his AKC Championship, and is, most importantly, one of the most even tempered Shibas I have ever met. James is OFA Good, and CERF Clear with normal patellas (CHIC). This is a repeat breeding of our 2010 and 2011 litters, so these pups will be full siblings to Zoe, River, Kaylee, Kazuki, Cinnamon, Diamond, Takibi, Knox, Bruin, and Komugi.
